Privacy Notice

We collect personal information that you provide to us voluntarily when you register on our services, express interest in our products, participate in activities, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, username and password. When you place an order we also collect the order details (items, amounts, status) and the delivery or pickup details you give us, such as an address or delivery location. If you contact support, we keep your tickets and messages. If you enable notifications, we store a device notification token for your device. The Fooddle app also sends us automatic technical information, such as crash reports, app performance measurements (for example start-up and screen-load times), and basic device and app-version details, to help us find and fix errors and keep the app fast.

Payments: payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered in Razorpay's checkout and are handled by Razorpay; we do not store them. We receive only the payment status and reference details needed to confirm and reconcile your order.

Vendor and staff accounts: accounts for shop vendors and staff are created, managed and removed by Fooddle and the campus authorities, not through self-registration. For those accounts we process the name, contact details and login information needed to run the shop, and requests to change or remove such an account should be sent to us at the privacy email below.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government identifiers or health data, and we do not use your data for advertising.

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our services, communicate with you, ensure security and fraud prevention, and comply with the law. For example, we use the data to facilitate account creation and authentication, deliver services, send administrative information including updates to terms or policies, and evaluate and improve our products and user experience.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) the shop you order from, so they can prepare and hand over your order; (b) Razorpay, our payment processor, to complete your payment; (c) Sentry, our crash-reporting provider, which receives technical error data from the app, and Expo (EAS Observe), which receives app performance measurements; (d) our hosting and infrastructure and email-delivery providers, who process data on our behalf; and (e) your college or the authorities where we are required to by law or a lawful request. We may also share information during negotiations or completion of any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.

We retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

When you delete your account: your login, profile (name, phone, saved details) and saved device notification tokens are permanently removed, any unpaid pending orders are discarded, and your open support tickets are closed. We keep the records of orders you have already placed and paid for, together with the name, phone number, address and email you gave at the time, and your past support tickets. We keep them because we need them for accounting and tax purposes, to prevent fraud and abuse, to resolve disputes and refunds, and to respond to lawful requests, including requests from your college. These records are no longer attached to a login account, are not used for marketing, and are kept only as long as those purposes or the law require. If you later sign up again with the same email address, those earlier records may be associated with you through that email.

We implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

We do not knowingly collect information from or market to children under the age of 18. By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the information promptly.

You have the right to review, change, or terminate your account at any time. You can do this by logging into your account settings or by contacting us at privacy@fooddle.in.

Delete your account in the app: open the Fooddle app, tap your profile icon, choose Settings, then Delete Account Permanently and confirm. Deletion cannot be undone. See "Data Retention" above for what we keep afterwards.

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (DNT) feature. As no uniform standard for DNT signals has been finalized, we do not currently respond to such signals.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If you are a California resident, you may request disclosure, correction, or deletion of your personal information.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time to stay compliant with laws and best practices. Any updates will be indicated by a revised "Last Updated" date.
